About

Built for operators who've already done something.

Compound Conference is a private 3-day gathering for the people building multiple businesses, allocating capital across portfolios, and figuring out what comes next. Not a starter conference. Not for the curious. For the ones already in the game.

What It Is

Three days built around the conversations that actually matter.

Every February, 150 operators gather at Sundance Mountain Resort in Utah for three days of sessions, dinners, and chairlift conversations. The format is intentional: small enough that every person in the room knows every other person by the end, and curated enough that the room itself is the product.

Sessions cover the real stuff — capital allocation, M&A integration, building management layers, structuring holdcos, and navigating the transition from operator to owner. Practitioners only. No consultants theorizing about what they've never done.

Compound Conference started as a way to solve a problem: at a certain stage of building, most conferences stop being useful. The content is too basic, the room is too big, and the signal-to-noise ratio collapses. Compound is the answer to that.

Why It's Different

The design is the differentiator.

Everything about Compound Conference is built around one goal: creating the conditions for conversations that actually change what you do next week.

01

$7,500 ticket price is the filter, not the point

The price isn't about revenue — it's about room quality. When a ticket costs $7,500, the people who show up are serious operators, not first-time searchers or conference tourists. The filter creates the room.

02

Hard cap at 150 people

At 150 people, you can meet everyone. At 1,500, you can't. The cap means every attendee is a potential relationship, not just a badge to collect. Every past attendee knows this is the biggest differentiator.

03

Sundance, not a Marriott ballroom

The setting is functional, not just aesthetic. Chairlifts force one-on-one conversations. Shared meals over three days build real trust. The mountain environment removes the transactional energy of a typical conference.

04

Practitioners only on stage

Every speaker at Compound Conference is currently doing what they're talking about. No keynote speakers who last operated a business a decade ago. No consultants packaging other people's experience. Real operators, current problems, honest answers.

"

THE place to learn about running and successfully operating a HoldCo. A "who's who" of leaders doing ambitious stuff. Made friendships I'll cultivate for years.

Who Attends

Operators 3+ years in, figuring out what's next.

Past attendees include multi-business owners running 2–10 companies, operators transitioning into holdco structures, CEOs and GMs inside PE-backed platforms navigating scale, independent sponsors and acquisition entrepreneurs, and family office principals actively deploying capital.

The common thread: everyone in the room has already built something real and is now trying to figure out how to build something bigger — or build it smarter.

This is not a beginner conference. If you're still in year one of your first business, Compound Conference isn't the right fit — and that's intentional.
